Embrace The Inner Calm

Types of Yoga To be Taught

Hatha Yoga & Sculpt Yoga

It is a combination of two bija mantras (seed mantra) ‘Ha’ and ‘Tha’. ‘Ha’ represents ‘prana’- the vital force and ‘Tha’ represents ‘mind’, the mental energy. So, Hatha Yoga means the union of the pranic and mental forces. This is the awakening of higher consciousness.

Yin Yoga & Breathing Exercises

Yin yoga is a calmer form of yoga where the positions are held for a longer period of time in order to access body’s deep connective tissue. It is a meditative form of yoga and is suitable for all levels. It has a great impact on body, muscles and fascia, with increased mobility, flexibility and pain relief.

Yoga with Props

It adapts the Iyengar yoga style. Yoga with props like blocks, straps, and bolsters aren’t a shortcut, they’re tools that help one access correct alignment safely, no matter how much is the flexibility or experience. This yoga style holds poses longer, giving the muscles, joints, and nervous system time to actually respond and adapt. This method builds strength and flexibility gradually while improving posture, balance, and body awareness. Because every pose is adapted to the individual, it’s especially effective for injury recovery, chronic pain, and correcting imbalances from daily habits like desk work.

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga is a gentle and supportive practice designed specifically for women during pregnancy. It focuses on safe movement, breathing techniques, relaxation, and postures that help the body adapt to the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy.

Classes are tailored to each stage of pregnancy, helping to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and posture while easing common discomforts such as back pain, hip tension, fatigue, and stress. Breathing and mindfulness practices also help prepare expectant mothers for labour and childbirth, promoting confidence and a sense of calm.

Postnatal Yoga

Postnatal Yoga is designed to support recovery after childbirth and help new mothers regain strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing. The practice focuses on gently rebuilding core and pelvic floor strength, improving posture, relieving tension in the back, neck, and shoulders, and restoring energy.

Postnatal Yoga also provides an opportunity to relax, reconnect with the body, and nurture emotional wellbeing during the transition into motherhood. Classes are adapted to suit each mother’s stage of recovery, ensuring a safe and supportive return to movement.

Restorative Yoga for Senior Citizens

Restorative yoga focuses on relaxation, rest and recovery. It aims to calm the nervous system, reduce stress and promote overall well-being by allowing the body to fully relax and rejuvenate.  The primary purpose is to facilitate deep relaxation and healing.

Lunch Yoga

Lunch Yoga is a compact, midday practice designed to fit within a typical break — gentle stretching, breathwork, and postures that release tension built up from sitting or desk work. It focuses on loosening the neck, shoulders, hips, and lower back while calming the nervous system, so you return to the rest of your day clearer and less fatigued. No mat experience or flexibility is required, making it an easy way to build movement into a busy schedule.

Pranayama/ Meditation/ Yoga Nidra/ Sound Healing

Pranayama is generally defined as breath control. It is comprised of two root words ‘Prana’ means ‘vital energy or life force’ and ‘Yama’ meaning ‘control’. The techniques of Pranayama provide the method whereby, the life force can be activated and regulated in order to go beyond one’s normal boundaries and attain a higher state of vibratory energy and awareness.

Sound healing is an ancient therapeutic modality with roots that stretch back thousands of years. It is based on the understanding that everything in the universe is in a state of vibration.

Moon Salutations & Mantra Chanting on Full Moon Nights

The moon’s position affects the body’s energy & mental state. On a full moon, there is ample upsurge of energy in human beings. For those on a spiritual path, full moon nights are seen as conducive for meditation due to the heightened energy. Yogic practices like moon salutation, mantra chanting and meditation can help individuals emulate the effects of full moon on a daily basis, creating a sense of inner stability and awareness.
